Science and Innovation Manager
Egas Moniz – School of Health & Science is currently a national and international reference in teaching, research and innovation in health. With over three decades of history, it stands out for its academic excellence, its strong commitment to science applied to the community and its interdisciplinary approach focused on people and social impact. CiiEM – Egas Moniz Center for Interdisciplinary Research is the scientific structure of the institution, recognized for its dynamism, production of relevant knowledge and projects aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. As part of its strategy to strengthen research with impact, Egas Moniz is looking for a Science and Innovation Manager (GCI) to strategically support the CiiEM Board and Research Groups in the competitive funding cycle. The GCI is a key player in promoting a culture of scientific excellence, working locally with the researchers in its group and in coordination with the CiiEM Board and the CiiEM Research Support Office.
Admission Requirements
Interest in science management, innovation and competitive funding; Good communication, organizational and networking skills; Direct connection or affinity with CiiEM Research Groups.
Work plan
Identify and disseminate funding opportunities (FCT, Horizon Europe, EEA Grants, among others); Provide technical support for the preparation and review of applications; Collaborate with internal services (legal, financial, communication); Stimulate interdisciplinary and international cooperation; Join the Pre-Award Network, promoting the sharing of good practices and ongoing training.
Workplace
The work will be carried out at the Egas Moniz School of Health & Science, located at the University Campus, Quinta da Granja, Monte de Caparica, 2829-511 Caparica.
Selection methods
The selection method to be used will be the curriculum evaluation (60%), motivation letter (10%) and interview (30%).
Form of publicity / notification of results
The results of the evaluation will be published up to 90 business days after the final date for submission of applications. Candidates will be notified of the Final Evaluation Result by email to the address provided by the candidate.
